Just hangin' out

It's just Black Star and Halo hanging out somewhere, and Kid and Cheree relaxing somewhere else.  No big deal.  I imagine that despite Halo and Black Star's constant bickering, they can still chill together as bros (even though Halo is a girl).  And Kid obviously adores Cheree's scarf which, despite having been through many fights, leaves the battlefield flawless every time.  I felt it would be appropriate to switch around who spends time with who just to make things a little interesting.  They can't always be hanging out with the same people, right?

My writing is kind of sloppy so I will translate my chicken-scratch below:

Left Panel- (They are drinking soda by the way)
Black Star: "That Kid pisses me off sometimes!"
Halo: "Ha, really now."

Right Panel
Death the Kid: "This fabric is exquisite!"
Cheree: "Kid, you've been examining my scarf for 15 minutes..."

Halo and Cheree: TWEWY style

The World Ends with You is an amazing game.  I love it like Okami.

So here's some TWEWY inspired art!  They may change drastically and look better than this, but for now, this is the first draft of Halo and Cheree's TWEWY design.

If Soul Eater Went VOCALOID--

For this year's theme, I came up with the idea of making our characters of the VOCALOID music style.

Characters include from Top Left (going clockwise):

Death the Kid ("Symmetry" headphones)
Halo Yin ("Shinigami" headphones)
Cheree Yang ("Music note" headphones)
Black☆Star

I try to remain close with the Soul Eater anime style...
Also, thanks to NextViewDesigns and Paul W for the brush techniques. :D

Fun fact:
The color of the ear phones are VOCALOID colors: Yellow, Turquoise, and Pink!!!

Technologic Halo and Cheree

Thanks to NextViewDesigns from deviantART for these awesome technologic brushes (which I spammed shamelessly in the background).

Roughly Vocaloid-inspired, I suddenly felt like drawing Halo and Cheree in headphones and "modern" outfits.  But I was mainly inspired by the fact that Beeju is also drawing Halo and Cheree with a music theme.

Soul Eater (Thought): Halo

I have been trying many different samples of creating Halo traditionally until one day, I felt like playing with photoshop. It lead me to finally making Halo's official attire and appearance.

Within this picture, Halo is holding her weapon who is Cheree Yang.
Cheree Yang is a weapon blood girl who has the ability to transform into a whip, which makes Halo Yin the meister.

Like in the Soul Eater series, Halo and Cheree work together at Shibusen of the Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA).
For viewers that do not know what Soul Eater is, I suggest reading through this link before checking on our OCs-->Soul Eater Wiki.

P.S. I will come back on this drawing to improve on Halo.

Cheree Sketch Dump!

It's a Cheree sketchdump!
Let me describe what i have here from left right right, starting with the top row.

The first doofle (AKA doodle) is Cheree as a young girl.  This design was created by Beeju, though I invented my own color scheme for the outfit.  I imagine young Cheree being bright and curious but rather shy at times.  She was raised in an upper class setting which may explain Cheree's polite and pleasant mannerisms.

The second doofle is a possible casual outfit for Cheree.  The scarf serves as a sash for this outfit and those are orange pants in case you couldn't tell.  About the scarf- the scarf isn't physically part of Cheree's body but it does amplify her whip-abilities, making her strength more potent and powerful than others in her bloodline.

The third doofle is Cheree facing away from the camera, in a sort of "I'm about to do something" pose.

The fourth doofle is an alternate outfit for Cheree.  I wanted to try putting her scarf around her arms, but I accidentally made the scarf look much longer than it really is.  I don't know when she would use this outfit.  It was more of an experiment and I hope Beeju and I can fit this outfit into the storyline.

Onto the bottom half!  The first doofle in this section is a drawing of Cheree when she was older than the young Cheree in the first doofle, but younger than the current Cheree. It is an "in-between" Cheree, if you will.  She is extremely shy and reserved, mainly due to a terrifying experience she had sometime when she was a child.  The thing behind her is a shadowy bunny which represents how the experience psychologically hurt her (and therefore made her an easily scared person until she befriended Halo).  I think Beeju created the idea of how Cheree had to deal with a creepy bunny doll when she was little (I'm sure Beeju will talk more about how important this "bunny" is), so that's why I chose to create that shadowy bunny (which eerily looks like a Pikachu).

Next to that is just a doofle of Cheree's head and scarf.  I tried a different style on drawing her face.  I also wanted to try to draw her with a more serious expression.

The last doofle in the lower right is Cheree in action without her meister.  As you can see, her left arm transforms into a whip with the assistance of her scarf.  Without the scarf, her arm would simply transform into a typical whip.  I imagine this scene would appear during the plot arc when Halo goes insane and Cheree has to fight Halo in order to save her.

Sheesh, I hope that wasn't too much to read!

Random Abstract Halo

I wasn't feeling too happy so I decided to release some stress by drawing Halo.
This isn't Halo's official design (Beeju will design that) - this is just a sort of
abstract outfit I came up with as I drew.

And yes, that is magenta blood on her face.

....It really should be black though, if I followed tOt canon...  Oh well!  Like I said, it's abstract.

Cheree pics and a Halo comic

This first drawing above is the latest design of Cheree Yang.  Cheree is Beeju's character persona.  However, I designed her.  Likewise, Beeju designed my character persona Halo.

Young Halo Yin's dream sequence, foreshadowing her meeting with Cheree.

An old design of Cheree geared for snow.

Cheree with a Snivy.

More older designs of Cheree.  The rose is no longer located on the center-front of the scarf.  Instead, her rose ear muffs were upgraded to appear as they are in this post's topmost drawing.

My very first design of Cheree.  She's come a loooong way since this pic.

Okamiden (Thought)

It's Halo and Cheree in Okamiden style.

Cheree is the element of grass while Halo is represented as the element of fire.
